435i GC M Sport is really low...
I'm surprised by how low the front is on my new 2016 435i GC M Sport.
It's the same height as my Porsche Cayman GTS with PASM. Seems too low for a car that isn't a sports car. Is it lower than the 335i/340i with M Sport? Is scraping a problem? It's certainly something that I have to deal with on my Cayman, and didn't expect the 435i to pose the same challenge... |

Looks like it is indeed lower than the 335i/340i M Sport - seems to be 10mm lower.
By the way, the rubber air deflector in front of the front wheels is only 80mm above ground - same as on my Cayman. Similarly, the front bumper has the same clearance as my Cayman. Really didn't expect this... |

It may be low but it has never caused any problems for me. Have you run into problems scraping or bottoming out?

It has been designed to allow you to plow your driveway after heavy snowfalls.

I now live in Pittsburgh land of odd hills. I have a front lip and I have yet to scrape on anything. Knock on wood. Maybe it's because I have xdrive height?

Xdrive is 10mm higher than base (non-xdrive) suspension, and a God-almighty 20mm higher than 704 suspension.

HA HA! I am so paranoid about hitting those stupid things that I usually park about 1-2ft away. I have to get out of the car to make sure I am not too far away. Sometimes I have to creep forward a bit because the rear of my car is sticking out too much. I look like a total rookie but its worth it! No scraps ever on any of my lowered cars.

First time I'm seeing your car; damn that looks really good. Side skirts, wheels, front lip, and the tint. Even like the silver.
Really a perfect set up there.

My car just looks so damn good, especially when clean. If I ram into something, I'll be beyond upset with myself. Having to get out, then pull forward a bit is just fine with me at times. Hard to know where the car ends.

No. A 2 door coupe firmly established in the genre of driving engagement is, like a miata, Z3, etc. A 2 door based on a passenger 4-door car or a "blown" version of a 4 door sedan kinda is, like the M3 and M4, but just because it's a BMW or because it has the "sports" package is no a qualifier for a sports-car. A sports-car is one that is for the engagement of the driver and enjoyment of the drive. A 328 M-sport is not this, it's a upscale sedan and may have some "sporty" elements, but it's nothing like a sports-car. My last car was a sports-car, this 428 is nice and more practical, but it's no sports-car.
