Locking the car without alarm

Hello,

I am just wondering if there is a way of locking the car without arming the interior alarm?

Thanks

Press the lock button again after locking. Switches the interior alarm off.

Garage List
The second long press disables the motion sensors, but car is still alarmed.

I always find, even after doing the second long press, that the alarm always shows that it was triggered when returning to the car on the ferry.

Nope, you can hear the lock mechanism try to lock again but no obvious lights or noise. I normally press it once to lock it, then for some reason always hit the button 3 times directly after ... think it's an OCD thing, but you really only need to press it once after the initial lock to turn the alarm interior motion alarm off.

It use to be on old Vdub's that two deadlocked the car ... not any more, deadlock if just one signal press, which is great if you don't want the missus getting out of the car

Lock the car then lock again within 10 secs (might need to be a double click on the key fob), but you should notice the interior LED does an extra long flash to indicate the interior sensor is off

Maybe it's me or maybe my car has a problem, but I can rarely get this to work even after trying it several times - the indicator light never flashes. Next time the car goes in I must get someone to try it and see if they have better luck.
