gladen upgrade - no bass
could do with some help from those of you experienced with the gladen kit.
i have the full gladen kit, so the 4 ch amp, the gladen subs mids and tweets. gladen one kit. using the gladen harness too. I've got the hiss, which research leads me to believe is down to the routing of the harness round the fusebox. will have a look at that. but the bigger issue for me right now is lack of bass. i was expecting some sort of kick from the subs, im not getting anything. there is some bass there, but if i move the audio to the back speakers, its coming from there. im not sure the guy who wired it in has got it right, anyone got any ideas for where i should start checking? or are there any diagrams for this install? i think the problem is probably with the harness and its use. as i understand it, it grabs the audio and pumps it through two channels to provide sound for the fronts. how does this feed the subs? |

I have the Gladen BMW One line kit as well, presuming you have the Mosconi 120.4 or similar? The subs are wired directly to the amp. Did you installer set the gains correctly? Did you set the amp to 2 channel mode? If it's set to 4 channel you won't get any sound from the subs - because you have no input into channels 3 and 4.
Hope that helps.

thanks for the help mate, you were bang on. the amp had moved and turned the 3/4 channels off, by pressing one of the switches. have put screws in it now, it won't move again.
