About time I said "Hello"

Hi Guys,

Joined the forum a couple of weeks.

Was running about in an APR tuned stage 1 Mk6 Golf Gti, plenty of power, but was costing too much to run so swapped it for a 320D E92 Pre-LCI.

Safe to say I was well impressed with the car up until it cost me and arm and a leg this week to have an alloy wheel replaced due to cracking and having bodged welds where its cracked before ...good job the dealer will be coughing up the minerals for that!

Already swapped the kidney grills over to black ones and fitted a low profile spoiler to the boot.

Not too sure what else I would like to do to it, maybe get it mapped.

Looking for some advice on what else I could do with it, all thoughts welcome.

Cheers!

Mike.

Here's a few photos:

Nice subtle mods there, it's exactly what I did to mine when I got it. Like you I also cracked one of my rear MV4, was tempted to sell the other three any buy a set of reps but I took the hit and had replaced it, personally they're the best looking wheels on a E92.

Ha yeh it had two interesting welds...think my dog could do a finer job than the person who repaired it.

Cheers. Definitely look the best on the e92. You recommend anything else doing to it?

Cheers. Been looking at remaps as I feel it needs a bit of a wake up, but coming from the VW stable I'm not too sure who is best for bm's. Anyone used Superchips before? Also can the OEM clutch take the additional torque?

Possibly fit spacers to get a wider stance.

All just ideas at the moment...

Yeh, the 320 oem tip is awful. Is it just a straight swap or does some modification need to be done to get it to fit?

I've not done it myself as I have fitted the performance exhaust to mine.

I don't know if it's a straight swap but any exhaust place worth there salt should be able to sort it. A few threads recently have done it, a guy with a white e90. Have a quick search

Looking to Remap the motor sometime soon, but first I need to replace my rear shocks.

Does anyone have any recommendations for remapping the 320d?

Also looking to lower on Eibach Pro-Line springs and space out with wheel spacers, looking at 10mm all around, has anyone got similar setup and will it scrub the tyres?
