Bmw Warranty - Dual mass flywheel/clutch

quick question,

have the bmw/mondial warranty on my car and am 95% certain my DMF has gone. Rattly sounds when bringing clutch up and on idling.

If BMW replace the DMF would they do the clutch too?

cars on 35k miles. 2006 320i.

My DMF & Clutch were replaced under Warranty over a year ago but my car was a 2012 & still covered by BMW Warranty at the time, I got a copy of the Invoice for the cars history & was almost a 1.5k bill

1.5k jebus. I haven't taken it to them yet to see what they say, as they're going to charge me the pleasure of £100 just to look at it. Getting my windscreen washer pump changed at an indy shortly (as don't have facilities to take off the wheel and do it myself atm) so going to get their initial prognosis on it first.

just don't want bmw to try and fob me off and say its the clutch and charge me £100 for it as they've done with a similar issue before.

but my other concern is would they do the clutch aswell as the dmf is covered by the warranty but clutch would likely come under wear and tear. Ideally you'd want to get both done at same time. If i have a semi fudged clutch going on a new flywheel wouldn't be ideal right?

I very much doubt they'd replace the DMF and not the clutch. You'd have to be pretty incompetent to have the car stripped down to that extent, and refit an old worn clutch to the thing.

If it was mine, i'd be insisting they replace both.

if they dispute im hoping to argue that its only done 35k miles so that can't be fair wear and tear right?

Tbh I don't think BMW are in the habit of replacing parts that are ok.

They should replace the whole lot, DMF, clutch and bearing.
