Navigating iPod on professional radio

Non iDrive professional radio with iPod.

Anyone know if it's possible to scroll through the iPod in an A-Z fashion?

It doesn't seem too intuitive and I can only seem to scroll through the entire list of artists which is so slooooooooooow. I find myself listening to a lot a AC/DC as scrolling any further is so tedious ha ha.

Am I missing something or is it just a limitation of the use of an iPod? Would it be any faster if I just used a USB stick?

I can't remember if you can search by Artist but I used to create Playlists as you can scan scroll through those easy enough

Yeah. I might resort to that. Will have to make playlists in the genre headers though as I'm just using a USB cable which can't read normal playlists.

It would just be handy to scroll through an alphabet pretty quickly, click a letter and see all the artists under that letter and scroll through again though.

Nope, just using a regular USB cable.
