It took me 1700 miles to realise this one.

-If you rest our finger on any of the preset keys for a second or 2 it will tell you what the key is at the top of the office screen

-Also BMW genius told me this one, if you shift into reverse the passenger side mirror will tilt down, however if you have the selector for mirror adjustment slid over to the right position, your mirrow will not tilt down when in reverse.


Anyone feel free to add on and I can update the list

Were you offered an Encore 2nd Delivery appointment by the Genius team at the dealership you purchased your m235 at?

I ask because I am a Genius and that is 100% one of the main things we go over, along with many other features/tricks.

I was offered the second appointment. I didn't feel the need to go back though cause I felt like I picked up on most things the first time around.

Also the genius may have mentioned it the first time. I may have just not been paying full attention because I was still in shock from taking delivery.

That feature has been available since the E46

I feel you. Whenever I do deliveries I always try to reinforce the Encore appointment since usually people are so excited about their new car they don't pay attention (you being Exhibit A lol).

I recommend you head into your center and ask for the appointment anyway or at least just to sit down with a Genius. We are all filled with useless but interesting information about these cars and I'm sure they'll be able to show you a couple things you may not have known.

I would have never figured out this stuff on my own if my CA hadn't spent an hour with me when I picked up the vehicle going over all the car's features (I'm a new BMW owner). Although I was just itching to start driving my new car, I'm glad I did it because I definitely learned a lot. I did go through the manual, but there are a lot of little things that can be missed.

You should go back for the Encore. The Genius more than likely gets some extra cash on the side for getting you back, and I'm pretty sure you'll get free gas too. What's not to love about helping someone out & getting free gas at the same time?
