Remap - 320d 184Bhp

Has anyone had there 320d - 184bhp remapped?

I have read through previous posts and most are about the 177 version.

It's much more complicated as it necessitates removing the ECU from the car & is, as a consequence, considerably more expensive, I'm afraid that is as much as I know.

Correct. This pushes the price to between £400-£500. I don't mind paying that rather than using a tuning box. I have also been looking at the PPK, prices have come down but its still about £800 before fitting.

Do you know anyone who has fitted this PPK as at my location BMW have a 20% discount on this kit. The boss told me he has had varied opinions as to the actual difference in the power increase so it would be a lot of coin just to feel a very slight increase.

I have never observed any feed back from someone who has driven the 320D in standard form and then fitted the power kit.

Just my 2p's worth, having found out that it was a ECU removal jobby, I decided to go down the tuning box route.

Got a RaceChip Pro2 direct from Germany for £180 and its excellent. Provided a good improvement over standard with no loss in mpg.

Best thing is that it is removable in literally 2 minutes, so if I sell the car or anything its straight onto fleabay.
