Racechip Pro 2 - Spare plug?

Hi all,

My father purchased a Racechip Pro2 a while back for his 530d. It is all plugged in and working like a charm.

What has puzzled us is this little connector that was in the box. It plugs in to the end of the Racechip loom where you connect the Racechip itself. I'm presuming it provides a bypass so you can remove the Racechip and return the car to standard without removing the loom. Is anyone able to confirm?

Thanks,

Russ

Yes its basically a blank to stop anything getting in there if you want to disconnect it without having to strip the whole thing out the car

Brilliant stuff. Will be useful for trying to get a gauge on power difference from the chip after running the car for a few days as we can simply pop the bypass in and see if there is a noticeable difference

If you email racechip, they can send you the settings they recommed for max bhp. It comes from the factory set up for a balance of power & economy. Had my 320D on max bhp for 9 months now with no issues

Hes had the racechip on his car for about 12 months now at factory settings and he claims it provided a noticeable difference. I was just wondering how much more power could be extracted from the engine with the chip but he seems reluctant to play around with it.

Think ill stick the bypass in later though and see how noticeable the power drop is.
