2015 M Car Day at Griot's Garage
I happened to be up in Seattle this past weekend and was fortunate enough to be in town for the 8th Annual BMW Car Day at Griot's Garge put on by the Puget Sound Chapter of the BMWCCA. Over 100 M cars in attendance. Here are some of my pics from from the event. Full set of pics at: https://andrewbarber.smugmug.com/Cars/M-Car-Day-2015/

Sorry if I missed your M3. I didn't see a Silverstone M3 parked with the other F8x's. I left around 1p to catch my nephew's soccer game up in Bellevue.

Damn looks like a lot of fun. I was up in Seattle last week - wish I would have known about this!

No. I was up from Dallas for weekend visiting family. I was rolling in my brother-in-law's A4.

They are 20" M359 AvantGarde wheels. 20x9 et.20 and 20x10.5 et.38 They were about $1500 (minus some special discount and plus TPMS, tires, etc.). I got the rims mod bargains (MB), but they couldn't get the pilot's so I got them local at a Discount Tire (which can also get the rims). MB was great to deal with and so was discount. Note, these rims are heavier than my factory 19". First it is a different manufacturing process, and 2, there is more metal. While you save a couple lbs a tire at 20's from 19's, these rims weigh about 6lb more than the factory 19". But if you cared about weight, you'd have purchased the 18" rims. Also, I'd say the paint isn't that great on the rims, a small tic-tac sized piece peeled off and they seem to get nicked easily. I'll probably re-paint after the winter. These rims put the wheel out about 9mm in the front and 8.3 in the rear (or vice versa, I forget.) which is perfect imho. The tires are Michelin Pilot super sports. 255/30 and 295/30 from the factory 255/35 and 275/30. These were very close in diameter. Even 295 isn't enough grip so I will measure out the back and see if 305's can get stuffed in (without rubbing with 4 people in the car. The car has H&R SS Springs. I wanted the car to look stock but yet, not be stock. So there are quite a few minor changes that most people will not see. An example, clear sanded the whole car a bit to cut down on the orange peel (not completely gone as it is a fine line....) Nobody notices unless I am next to another similar color. It's lowered but not to much to really know for sure. Some parts are painted, extra CF but that is discrete, etc. I mean it's factory looking but not sounding (at least when in crazy mode). lolz What a simple question, but such a long answer. Hopefully you got your question and potentially others answered.

Based on the trend I would have assumed they would be even softer (softer edges, etc.) BUT the 19" F80 rims are very "sharp" so that could definitely be the trend. Which is to say that the mesh edges will be more sharp/crisp. That is the direction I would go. Now will they go with 20" or 19", Probably 19". You might be able to put the e92 19" ZCPs on your F80. I'd have to see the offset to see if they will fit and/or if you need spacers.
