on the website it does say you can pay at the gate. I just tried to buy tickets on line and there are only general admission tickets available for the sunday, no racing ones. So I am unsure if there are no more left for the 1/4 mile or what the situation is. I was only really going for the 1/4 mile.

Edit: Think you just buy general admission and then purchase the drag strip number when you get there.

Yeah Mark, just turn up and pay on the gate.

Then can pay for drag strip separately.

Can only hope that they put it together in time

I'll most likely have traction issues on my standard Michelin PS tyres. Need to buy a pair of 17in slicks to do it justice

I'll be there if the weather is good as well.

I was confused by the ticketing also and I've been before, but not to a BMW show. You can buy admission online or there but race ticket only on site.

They are going to group cars into cataegories somehow and have a competition, with prizes I think. Wouldn't seem fair to class stock with remapped\JB4 with JB4+meth with aftermarket turbos with aftermarket turbos and Nitrous etc....

Deffo come along buddy as weather looks ok tbh.

Agree with the classifications but think that's the nature of the beast in this case. They just classify by model.

Seriously head along as it'll be fine. Was there last year and it only really got busy throughout the middle part of the day. Earlier morning and later afternoon it was fairly quiet.

Had a look at the times last year and they don't seem that fast? Excluding the 10.4 and the 11.2 secs.

The show will be interesting. This'll be my 6th or 7th visit this year. Lost count of the exact number.

i went a few weeks ago and it was my first time:

Some tips:

-There is no Helmet to borrow or rent
-get there as early as possible( the early morning people would the most runs, after 10-11am you be waiting for ages for your next run.

- don't have more than a quarter of a tank... i had half a tank Lol !!

- drop the tire pressure

-turn of traction control

I didn't bring a pump with me and i overfilled my car.

How did you do time/trap speed?

It's amazing how complex a simple, green light, get to the end as fast as you can task can be.

My first time with JB4 and down pipes was high 13's and low 14's. Mainly because I found out the DCT was a bitch to launch.

I only knew I could improve because I trapped at 110.72mph

I've got my own helmet and don't believe they have them there to rent/buy.

It's hard to determine at what point you would know that you'd need to definitely use a helmet.

It's quite addictive though for sure and I agree it's actually quite difficult to get right lol.

I had one good time at 12.8 sec and never saw the 12's again. all low 13's easily. Reaction time was really bad but the one 12.8 run i done i had super reaction time and it was on 1st gear with traction control off. 2nd gear start made low 13's easily. I forgot what my trap speed was, need to find the sheet for it!!
