P00BD code - Mass or Volume Airflow A circuit Range/Performance

Internet search yielded few results so I wanted to share the info.

Under WOL at ~40 Mph, 2013 335i xDrive AT: JB4 MAP 5 with BMS intake, car suddenly released all power (jolted forward). Felt initially like a drive-train issue. From thereon, any throttle position >15% made the car perform the same jolt.

MIL light came on 1 mild later, code P00BD (Mass or Volume 'A' circuit Range/
Performace Airflow too high)

Looked under the hood and intake charge pipe was broken and disconnected.

Hope it helps!!

Yes that is the problem all right. At first I thought it was the front hose in the picture but then I realized it was the bigger thing in back. Sure is broke in my car. waiting for a tow truck now. Is it safe to drive for a short distance like that?

You can drive it... but drive slowly and keep below 15% throttle. You should be fine
