Wow it actually looks quite good. Kinda like a baby x5. But yeah, definitely wife material or daily driver.

Seen it in person. Much much improved over the outgoing model. Only thing is I wish they kept the normal shifter like in the other BMWs, but that's just me. Sad to see there's no 6-cylinder option either!

Transversally mounted engine and FWD-centric drivetrain. No, thank you, for 60-70% of the money I will just buy a cheaper but just as good SUV from another brand. Only the badge is BMW in this SUV. The rest is a run-of-the-mill car for going from A to B.

i agree. would have loved to see the b58 in it with a normal shifter. or they should have just made the center console taller to hide some of that shifter. I could definitely get into this for a daily for skiing/mountain biking. i hope it still drives like a car.

Its a different shifter because its a different transmission. It is NOT the ZF 8 speed.

Which transmission is it? I hope it's better then the last one. I thought it's the ZF 8 speed?

My mother is going to pull the trigger for an Sline completely with shadow line on Friday.

You can't see the B58 or any other 6-cylinder engine in this car because the engine is transversely mounted.

Exactly!

At the end of the day, this is a massive upgrade over the E84.
It will sell very well imo, look much more upscales that an entry level SAV imo.
Good effort from BMW!
