Bluetooth

Played around with my new LCI Sport line tonight. On collection the Genius at the dealership couldn't confirm if I needed a Y lead or not so we experimented with a standard Apple lead which worked. I was well chuffed as my old Y lead was for my old phone so £50 saved. Tonight I found that I can stream music via Bluetooth. I've got the basic business package and I didn't opt for enhanced BT. Why is it that even the dealers don't know the various configurations with any certainty? As I said I'm really pleased with that. Only thing I have noticed is the volume is quite low when streaming compared to with the Apple cable.

turning up the default setting on your iPhone should improve it.

My dealer told me that enhanced BT is now standard but it's still and option when I go to spec the new 335d. It's very frustrating that the dealers have such little knowledge of the products so you are never certain of what you will get.

Sadly, as you have discovered, the only qualifications to become a BMW salesman are a tub of hair gel, a cheap suit and some pointy shoes.

The sound quality with the cable connected, is a lot lot better than Bluetooth

Isn't that true for ProNav spec only though?

I think this is March 14 build onwards, just in case anyone is wondering why their Jan or Feb 14 car doesn't do this...
