See here, but this is only if you have NEW bolts! They are aluminum bolts AND torqued to yield, so if you have to reuse old ones, just use feel and common sense tighten it. Don't want to break the already stretched aluminum bolts. Then order new set of bolts and replace them earliest. If you buy a set, set comes with torque values in the instructions.

Also note they have updated the torque on the idler pulley bolt:

Thanks. Yes I am getting new bolts. But the page you sent only lists the torque value for the idler pulley. I need the value for the 4 mounting bolts.

How did you read it?

It is there, written on the page, "alternator to engine block... use new... stage 1 10N.m,
stage 2 180 degrees" ......

I just took out the bolts from my 2011 e90 n55 and they are definitely grade 8.8 steel. It’s stamped on the bolt. Also, tested with a magnet so def steel. No need to replace steel bolts. Not sure if torque values though still looking. Edit I’m seeing most bolts are aluminum. Maybe mine were already replaced with steel?

n52/51s have magnesium blocks and cannot use steel.

OP had an n52.

N55s are aluminum blocks and can have steel fasteners.
