335d: Which Pressure Converter to Replace?

Right I'm losing all boost after the first five minutes of driving. It's come out of the blue and works fine when the car is cold, leading me to think to electrical. Of the 3 pressure converters, how do I tell which needs replacing? Code reader has just brought up a boost code, nothing specific.

Do yourself a favour and change both and also the vacuum hoses on this side of the engine while you're at it. The one PC is for the wastegate and the other is for switching between small and big turbo. Pierburg makes them (~80 euro/pc)
No big deal to change the left ones. The PC on the right side (if you have vacuum operated EGR valve) is more time consuming.

Haven't I actually got 3? I was going to leave the EGR one for now.
Isn't changing the vacuum hoses a pain to do?

Euro's do fiar fewitems for these though not widly advertised Pierberg stuff is something they actually carry. But while your in there I'd swap out the following, namily No1 in the diagram below, which is in the turbo side pressure converters(a pair)

http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/E9...acuum_control/

plus I'd attentd to No1 below which is another pressure converter on the inlet side

http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/E9...m_control_agr/

as well as this one again No1 the electric valve on the inlet

Well, if you use a carpet knife for trimming and decide to cut your fingers

You will discover pulling the hoses from the nipples without damage is hardly possible. Buy the hoses while the car is assembled and running. If something goes wrong, do you have a bicycle?

Bit of a blast from the past this one fella!
Basically I don't remember what exactly it was, but I do remember the £1500 bill to replace all the boost & vacuum pipework. Age related embrittlement I believe.
If its any consolation I've just spent £2500 getting my Jag XFS back on the road after splitting the inlet manifold lol.
