Mot emissions - didn't even register on the machine, passed...

So just had an mot. (straight through, the same as last year)

Emissions test and the swanky machine just kept saying 'insert probe' as it wasn't detecting anything. Like, nothing at all. The guy said he gets that on newer bmws etc they are very clean. I was surprised though on a 10 yr old 330d (remapped as well).

Anyone else had this?

It passed obviously but am intrigued.

Just in diesel mot emissions, I take trucks for mot I have not seen them use a tester for about 4 years or more as they never get a reading! Definately heading the right way but is all other countries?

In my opinion testers are not accurate. They are prepared (designed) for old diesels.

Most new cars have 0 readings...
