Hi everyone

Just a quick question regarding window Tints

Has anyone got any recommendations for a decent window tint place near Birmingham?

Quality of the job is of higher importance than cost for me

Also, once done is it classed as a mod for insurance?

Hi Gary, yes it definitely counts as a mod. Not sure for Birmingham. If you have an e92 I would recommend getting them to put a strip of black vinyl across the dot matrix at the top of the rear screen as the tint will degrade over time on this bit and spoil the looks (in my opinion).

mine's a E90 - so would you happen to know if I still need the vinyl strip (or is it specifically the E92)

would be willing to travel a bit to get the right person to do this - within reason (say 50 miles ish)

that being the case it would cover Cov / Warwick / Leicester / Derby / Burton etc?

Oh right, okay. I think it's just the e92 so you should be okay! The place I've been recommended is in Aylesbury but that may be too far for you? I think it's called eclipse tinting.

Im due to renew ins next month and will prob go with Adrian Flux whom i think are quite mod friendly, so i reckon i will wait till then to get it done

Absolutely, I just haven't got round to it, the one time I rang them they were not available when I wanted to come. But I've seen their work on other cars and it looked good.

I don't believe the E90 has the same large dot matrix area at the top of the rear screen so you should be ok.

I've heard good things (but not used) Dynamic Tinting in Birmingham.

I got the windows on my old Civic Type R done at Tintmaster in Telford. Great service and would definitely use again.
