First 10,000 miles in E90 335i LCI

and I love the car. It does everything well. The factory warranty just expired, and I think I would like to do a few things. First order of business will be wheels and tires, as my car does not have the sport package (which is pretty dumb, if you ask me. A manual transmission and rear drive should automatically come with the sport package) I would like to maintain a certain level of comfort, but the car can definitely stand to be a little less soft and lower. Suggestions??

What about suspension? I had Koni adjustable on a Mini Cooper S a while ago, and while great for autocross, they were a bit harsh on the street.

I also just got my 2011 335...I've only had it 3 weeks/ 800 miles but I love it. I have the Sport package so I'm satisfied with the wheels/suspension. I just wish it was slightly louder like the performance exhaust, but that thing is kinda expensive.
So in your case, I agree you need a lower, stiffer suspension and maybe 18 in wheels. I've had good experience with Eibach springs in the past but never had them on a 3 series so don't know what the would ride like on that.

The performance exhaust is also hard to come by these days. Have you considered the performance exhaust mod? It costs $200-300 and essentially turns your stock exhaust into a performance exhaust.

?? Are you referring to the golf t mod? Or something else. When I search performance exhaust mod I get threads about the PE

**Edit- Found it** INteresting. Might be more sound than I want but could do it in stages

He's referring to a muffler delete if I'm not mistaken. Cut the mufflers off, and weld on straight pipes with some cyba tips and you have great looking/sounding exhaust.

It wouldn't be any louder than a real performance exhaust.

Actually no, that's not what I was referring to. I am talking about the PE mod. I personally don't like the way these cars sound straight piped. Too much drone and rasp for my taste.

They are nice wheels, but a little annoying to clean.

My e93 came in with base suspension and I upgraded it to, KONI FSD shocks + H&R Sport springs. Its lowered, looks nice and the ride is still comfortable (personal opinion) for me and my wife. Cornering ability improved drastically. Yes, it does get little bumpy on bad roads, but I guess thts normal with lowered cars. Also, I had at 3000 mile road trip and absolutely loved it, no extra exhaustion as compared to the base suspension.
I think Sedan sits higher than convertible.
