Wing Mirror Gremlins
This is really starting to bug me now.....Near enough every time i get in the car (08 e92) the o/s wing mirror is in a different position. to make things more confusing, it doesn't move itself to that same position, some times its up facing the sky other times its right down.
Anyone had this before, and more to the point have a solution? |

I had lost settings on mine a few months back when the dealership returned it to me. They had used the BC stalk to set day time lights as permanently on. The tech swears they touched no other options but I found that the return to previous user settings upon unlock had been activated. I read through the manual to disable these settings. My only guess is that they may allowed the battery to run low. The spare key had some settings from the previous owner too that I had to adjust - discovered these last year when I gave the spare key to tech at MOT time.

I take it you have power folding mirrors?
My offside wing mirror does the same, generally it tends to point to the floor but can sometimes point inwards. It only does it when I take the key out or open the door though. It could be a bug in the software? The nearside mirror is flawless though.

take the glass off and take the wiring off and pull the motor out and clean the pins, it takes about 5 minutes each side. it fixed my problem. |
