Latest HPFP?

My fuel pump is going out soon so I need to get it replaced. What is the part number for the latest HPFP for e92 with the n55? Are the new fuel pumps reliable? Do the new HPFP still have problems? How much did the fuel pump cost? A link to where to buy the fuel pump would be appreciated too. Thank you!

The new ones are holding up. I believe the latest ones for the n54 are the same ones are the n55. They cost around 350-400. HPFP problems seemed to disappear

I’m not sure what the current HPFP part number is now.
During the big recall (2007-2010s model years), BMW was using three HPFP part numbers: -933, -170 and -446. All of which were re-manufactured HPFPs. According to BMW, the 933 and 446 have the same internals and the -933 had been documented to fail prematurely. Presumably the -170 also had the same internals as the -933 as it was released in between the -933s and -446s. The -170 and -446 HPFPs had only been out about 3 months, at the time when I had the HPFP replaced on my 2010 back in April 2011, and there were some 335 owners who had reported -446 HPFP failures as well. I was one of the many who did not experience any long cranks nor had a failure with the original HPFP. It was replaced (and ECU reprogrammed) during the recall with the -446, I believe (will have to check my service record), and it did not have any issues and still has not had any issues 4 years and 4 months since the replacement.

If i have to take a guess, i am going to say that -170 HPFP is the one with no issues. I dont see anyone with complaints about -170. Hopefully, they fixed everything on the -170. I think that is the newest model.
