Is this a good deal?
2009 BMW 323i 4 door black sedan LCI (Canadian version, 2.5L w. 200hp/180ft/lb torque) clean, well maintained with maintenance history, no major accidents and would be performing a PPI at bmw dealership before purchase for: $10000 CAD or roughly $7650 USD.
Car has 136,000 km (84500 miles) on it. Is it worth the price? Or should I keep hunting? I would get a 328i, but they cost alot more than the 323i in the market, and living in toronto, 200HP is more than enough because you can barely go over the speed limit. Also the 2.5L will get better gas. Considering a BMW because I like the refinement, handling, & looks. Not speed. |

I would say if it drives nice and smooth in city and hwy it's worth giving a PPI and make sure you test as many functions on the car as possible and if you find anything use that as leverage for either a better price and to get them to fix it....this car is capable of costing a lot for even simple stuff so get it checked over well and goodluck

But most has been normal maintenance stuff(brakes, oil, sensors, shocks, filters). I would say it is a high maintenance car and you do need to stay on top of things or things can quickly cost thousands to fix if your not an astute car owner.....and by that I mean not paying others to diagnose and fix your car because that is what will bite you if your not careful. |

The seller did admit to me that he pumped regular gas, is that something to be worried about? |

Wouldn't worry too much about the regular gas....spark plugs probably need refreshing at the mileage of that car your looking at...finding out what was fixed is a good place to start. |

Yeah, I'm going to go through the maintenance records the seller has this weekend also. Is there a thread where I can find what kind of services need to be done at certain km/miles? I can consider myself mechanically inclined for basic jobs also, so I will be doing some by myself. |

I used shell premium mostly.....but I'm really liking the petro 94 as of lately....it seems to run great on this gas.

Test drove the car today! Drives amazing. Everything works.
However, as I was going through the maintenance history, it was just regular stuff that was replaced, ie; wear and tear items and oil changes. No major repair was done to it, as he said one was never needed... So is that something to be worried about? he did his maintenance at a BMW dealership half and half at other vendors. |
