Sirius Satellite Radio Album Art?
Hi!
Any advice on getting a MY2015 M235 satellite radio album art to display instead of the pixelated generic channel image? Latest bmw.com/update UPD05062 installed. ~MiKe |

Thanks, saw that. Just digging into coding and now have no idea what flashing the NBT2 and ATM module to 56.2 and changing the production date to 07/15 entails. Overwhelming.

It's not a trivial thing to do...like coding... and stuff can go wrong like you can brick an ECU But a lot of people do it all the time...just make sure you have a good charger |

I'm gonna try flashing just the NBT2 to 56.2 and see what happens.
Last time, we flashed ATM which is the telematics module as well and I lost all of my ConnectedDrive functions. I'll keep you all posted. Just keep in mind that your F22 has to be built from 03/15 onwards for this to work. If your vehicle is older, you're out of luck.

Is the sat radio itself just coding? Or is it different hardware? I've heard that as long as it's pre-wired, I should be able to code it on and then call Sirius and activate it. Truth?

Anyone ever solve this? I've got a loaner 3-series right now while my 2015 is in the shop, and I'm enjoying getting the album art on XM.
I asked the dealership about it, and was explained that since my car only has 3G data, there's not enough bandwidth for album art. I'm puzzled by this explanation: - First, I get album art on FM radio. How can that be higher bandwidth? - Second, what does the data speed have to do with XM? Isn't the XM a satellite signal beaming from space? How does that relate to the data speed of cell towers? Is the album art coming through the data stream as the music? |
