wtf is up with e90 post?

Hey, so what's up with this forum being down and in slow motion every week? I know you guys and mods know what I'm talkin about.

I'm on the west coast and it never seems to work right before midnight. Not sure why?

Edit: Also, we pretty much have the same damn car. Is yours manual?

Definitely been a few days in the last few weeks where the site is down for hours on end.

Not a big deal, but hopefully they're getting their servers up to par with the traffic.

No.
I have an auto. My wife insisted on auto..let's not go there...in the bay area it makes sense but I would love to see how these cars drive with manual.

It's all the 87 vs 91 octane threads, the cheapest tire threads, the 100s of copied comparison threads and most importantly the m window sticker group buy threads. The server management team were like, "wtf really?"

Anyways..just to hijack my own thread. ..I put some 104 octane in today and was impressed...got a sweet burble, which I tried to get a sound clip of for everyone that could care less but it turned out like a bunch of distortion on my phone so I decided to not post it.

I bet this site runs on a single MySQL database instance and they have nightly backup dumps which create a global read lock on the db.

if it was obvious then why the fk didn't you give the explanation?

Oh yea you did, their servers need to be up to par with the traffic, what an elaborate explanation, geek squad.

I haven't even been here long and I'm already accustomed to it.

Lmao, I just see it as "per the usual". It's consistently down at particular hours of the day for me.

Just before midnight.. 10:00am.. middle of the afternoon.. so on and so forth haha.

One time it went down when I was like three paragraphs into a reply.. let's just say I didn't return to E90 post that night, lmao.

Lmfao.

I just think it's easier for people to read what I'm saying, rather than be presented with a wall of text full of random tangents. The topic at hand greatly determines my writing style.

And Twitter rules/twitter in general annoy the hell out of me. Would u like me 2 type like dis 4rm now on?

Yeah it's been so long since there has been no crashing for me, I can't even remember anymore. It's sad that it's normal to have a shitty app. Sigh.

Wrong. It's the oil threads. I mean how many times can the subject be addressed?

"If I use $20 per quart super-slick, true non-petroleum synthetic, LL01 Royal Dynasty Purple Peacock 0W-40 and change it every 3,250 miles, do you think my engine will last to 100,000 miles?"

Seriously...

Yeah I went to Bob's...someone told me he has 104 and 110 in leaded..
I have went to kings several times but barely felt a difference with the 100 oct. Other than improved gas mileage. You live around here too?

Lots of down time for this forum for sure. At any given time around midnight PST, the database is down for what I think is maintenance.

Anyone know if 5w-20 honda formula is safe to use in my 07 335i with 173,000 miles? It's the cheapest I could find. I want it to last for another 500,000 miles.
