Driving Schools/courses?
Hi,
have searched and BMW doesn't seem to offer any of their courses in eastern Canada from now till year end. Are there other options, preferably in Quebec province? I am not looking for track instructor courses which most require experience, rather some basic to intermediate schooling in driving a powerful rwd like the M. I took the BMW Advanced course back in 2002 in Montreal but unsure if they still do offer it here. I have driven a rwd BMW 325i for 15 years, but this car is on another scale altogether and it scares the heck out of me thanks. |

Join the BMW Quebec club (www.bmwquebec.com) . There's an event in Tremblant on Aug. 18-19 (although I don't know if you can still register) and there's one in September as well.
There are also some lapping days you can look into at icar but I much prefer a HPDE to lapping. |

You can get a mechanical inspection at any mechanic. If you're getting service done at a BMW dealer, you can ask them to fill out the form since they usually do a basic inspection anyway. Check out the Porsche club too as they might schedule more track days! |

Also check out the BMWCC Ottawa chapter. They run events at Calabogie which I'm told is also a fantastic track.
Most clubs will offer loaner helmets for first timers so no need to let that stop you. Fair warning though, after my first time on the track I was hooked. It's not a cheap hobby! |
