I fully understand my car is the furthest thing from an M car, or an M3. However, to me these stripes represent more of the history of BMW than anything else. I don't claim my car to be fast, nor sporty. It's just a great daily, that is fun to drive. Honestly if it didn't have a manual transmission this car would make me yawn. I did the stripes for aesthetic purposes, and I was hoping that by proposing the group buy people would see it the same way that I do. Guess not. I'd understand the hate if I had a big old 3 right next to the stripes, but in the end it's just 3 different color stripes. The average Joe driving down the road sees just that as well.

I like it, I think it looks decent.
Personally, I wouldn't do it (but might consider), but I do like the subtleness of it and the overall look. I think it's unfair to automatically pass it off as an "M-Wannabe" rather than also take BMW's, our cars heritage, into consideration. It's not like he slapped an M-Badge on the rear and tried to pass it off as something that it isn't. |

Oh don't be shutting down a potential so fast eh.....I'm kind of thinking those stripes might just represent the badge of "what I want to be"...you know what I mean. We can get this going..c'mon boys

I like it on your car, but I don't expect you'll get any takers. It's a bold look.
