Can someone please point me to a reputable LSD seller in the US for my 335i ? I believe I have the welded diff since I have a 2013 so I am not able to find any good US stores thus far. Thanks.

Why not keep the welded? Wouldn't it do the same job? I used to have a s14 with a welded and it was loads of fun. I have xDrive now for Chicago winters, I miss the RWD

He means ring gear is welded onto the carrier imstead of normaly being bolted. Therefore, going to a LSD is more costly and must be swapped.

He does not have a welded or locked diff like your thinking of. He has an open diff with a welded ring gear as oposed to earlier build e90's with a bolted ring gear that ca be unbolted and bolted to a new LSD unit and reinstalled.

Forget Quaife and go with MFactory. If you time it right you can get the complete pumpkin to swap out, the bushings and install done for under 2 grand. If available, consider the higher numerical gear ratio. Be prepared for a slight thunk though, as it may be present.

I thought only M cars had limited slip differentials ?
