three codes and SES light
My "new to me" 2006 330i has 210,000 miles on it. I put on about 700 of them. Yesterday the SES light came on. I read the codes today:
2AA8 Variable Intake System motor actuator 2AA9 Variable Intake System motor actuator 2 2A15 DMTL Superfine leak The car runs ok, but if I'm honest there seems to be a slight hesitation or even throttle response under initial acceleration. Thoughts? |

First two codes are related to the DISA actuators. They need to be looked after because a failure here has the potential to grenade your engine. They will also have a big effect on your power output.
The third code could be something simple like a loose gas cap. |

Had this code 2AA8-9 come up when I had a intake cam sensor fail on my 06 325i a few years back. This may help you understand the process-https://youtu.be/qZ9k4Ohssu8...

Unfortunately, I am still looking into these codes. My car appears to not have DISA. I took it all apart and don't believe that my car, engine code N52B30AF was equipped with it. And yes, it is a 330.
Any other ideas on the codes? Last edited by drb007; 09-18-2015 at 01:22 PM.. |
