Ceramic window tint, question.
Going to a local business that says they do ceramic window tint. I've never had it done and I just do not want to get scammed and have them put on regular window tint.
Any techniques to make sure it's real ceramic? |

Have you asked the googles? Something tells me that you'll be fine.

Ceramic tint is normally considered to be superior to "regular" tint because it is supposed to be a better blocker of heat.
as far as being able to tell whether you actually get ceramic tint... theres not really a good way. In my experiences with my tinting company here in San Diego at the end of each installation i am handed a warranty certificate which comes from the tint mfg and lists the lifetime warranty information as well as the type of tint that was installed. This card is supposed to provide you with the warranty at any authorized facility that installs that brand of tint. i suppose the only real way to tell would be to watch them install it and/or find yourself a very reputable installer with lots of positive reviews. I found mine on Yelp and he has been awesome for my past vehicles. No issues to date. |

'lifetime warranty'...hmmm, so maybe the tint material is 'lifetime warranty' but the application of the tint does not last, it bubbles and looks like hell and also is hellish to get off the windows, as my wife experienced on her car!
