Diagnosing noises in a 2006 BMW E90 330i
I am trying to diagnose a noise that has seemingly popped up (at least I hadn't noticed it before until now). I can hear it when accelerating between 2k-3k RPM (it doesn't exist outside of this range, really). It's like a resonating sound (above the usual whine the engine makes at low RPMs), for lack of a better description. I will try and acquire a good sound clip on my way home from work today.
Also, this morning driving to work I noticed another odd sound. I think it might be the AC compressor (or clutch) since it disappears when I turn the AC off (i.e. it shouldn't be the blowers since with no AC, but with the fan on the noise is not present). Video clip below: |
