Windshield Sun deflector - e90
At work I park in the sun - curious if the general thinking is that the reflective sun shields are worth carrying around. Looking to preserve dash first. A cooler interior is a fine additional benefit. I have a black interior - white exterior.

I have one that I use regularly as I have a black car. I place mine outside the windshield and close the ends into the doors as this is what mine is made to do. Outside the windshield screens seem to block the heat before it gets into the car therefore better over all. I used one prior to this one inside the windshield and it still got hot enough inside to melt my dash cam. Since the change over, no issues.

Ditto. Bought the OEM one for inside and have been pleased with it. Bought it more to protect the dash from UV as opposed to keeping the car cool. My car is black as well. On really hot days, be careful: that thing get REALLY hot and it gets painful even removing it!
