Clear Coat peeling
I just screwed up my paint somehow and the clear coat is peeling. is there a way to fix this without painthing the whole trunk? I just put some masking tape to hold the perf spoiler and left it overnight, it rained and now the paint is fucked up.

If it's a respray anything is possible, I was assuming factory paint when I made my statement.

if it is on top of the paint, you can try goo off, or lacquer thinner on a rag and rub it on there, it wont hurt catalyzed paint. Brake or carburetor cleaner would work too sprayed on a microfiber towel and rubbed. That's only if it is glue residue and not clear coat failure.

you can just respray the top of the trunk if you have a solid breaking point all the way across such as a spoiler. That is kind of a half ass way of doing it though plus it will eventually start delaminating across the back in due time. The proper way is to strip and spray the whole lid. I would probably use this as justification to get your csl lid.

Have the clear coat peel on the roof rack "strip". It's bubbling in a small section. Dealership would not cover it and now I'm out of warranty. I think I'll use touch up paint and wetsand it to smooth it out. To OP I don't see a way to fix it until some detailing members have some suggestions to make it less noticeable.
