How do I clean/condition matte black wheels?
What is the best way to clean and condition matte black wheels? I have a descent amount of brown stains (dirt+brake dust?) and don't want to use regular wheel cleaners since they could damage the finish.

For maintenance, a regular car wash soap diluted at something stronger than suggested probably will do fine. You're probably going to do better with better tools. Check out something called wheel woolies. I'm a big fan of them partially because they don't make look like a cheetah afterwards.
You'll want a dedicated wheel cleaner too. A good one won't damage the finish. Here's a couple I've heard good things about. https://www.detailersdomain.com/coll...ner-plus-500ml https://www.detailersdomain.com/coll...cleanser-12-oz - whoa a matte cleaner! These wheel cleaners will only be used when your wheels are CAKED and something just isn't coming off nicely. |
