Price check for 335i...

It's a 2007 335i SE Pre-Lci manual with 54k miles on the clock with full service history by bmw.

I've been looking for something that's a bit cheaper to run and is less tax per year. It is a lovely drive but as I've just moved in to my first home I think it might be time to sell it. I've been looking at the 335d models but they are slightly out my price range so some suggestions would be nice.

Does anyone know roughly what my cars worth?

Thanks

According to the 'Auto trader Free valuation'

Private £8,300 or £7,200 Part Ex

No idea how accurate that maybe...

If you have a look at what else is on the market on auto trader for example you can generally work out what the market is doing. If you can't find the same year/spec then find say a 2007 m sport and knock a bit off. There is no rocket science to it you just need to do your research.

Unless your car is in 'as new' condition they wouldn't give your that on actual valuation. Their online 'quote' for our old Civic was £4200 - which wasn't bad, and included me indicating the car had stone chips and odd parking din. When I turned up they informed me their 'actual' quote was £3000!!! The reason given they would have to re-spray the front of the car due to stone chips - I tried to explain no buyer for a Honda Civic with nearly 100K on the clock would care about stone chips - so they increased with offer to £3500.

I than stuck the car on Autotrader at £4350, and it sold the same afternoon I put it up - Infact after the first guy came to put down a deposit I had another guy phone me offering to gazump the first interested party!!

But if your car is in 'as new' condition I would take their cash and run

Thanks

I'm more interested in cars that would be a little more economical and less tax for around the same price as mine

A 335d or 330d would be ideal but they fetch good money

Depends on what extras you have.. Such as idrive, heated seats etc.. I reckon you should get 8250-8500 as your mileage is quite low

Personally I'd stick with the 335i.. Yeah your road tax and fuel will cost more, but for the amount more your gonna be putting down on the car I personally don't think its worth it..

Unless you actually want a 335d for other reasons, I think over a 2 year term it could end up costing you more...

However that's just my opinion. Good luck with the sale if you do decide to sell as that's one clean car you have there!

Hi all,

This is my first post. I'm looking to buy a low milage 335i, 8--- is a great price for that milage it would seem.

My hope was to post what I was looking for in the classified section. Understand 335's are hard to sell so thought this may be a good approach and give owners who are considering the option...

£8/9 seems good to me from the adds I'd seen non forum.

I saw the below on a AU site and it made me think if the dealer believes they can get approximately this (I've heard Stratstone price to sell) for a high mileage / older car then maybe they would be interested in buying yours for a bit more than 8-9k, still enough room for them to prep and have profit.

I have good experiences with WBAC, but they only like cars which sell well at auctions, and I've never seen them price a 335i reasonably, so avoid.
