Had my 335xd for about three months or so now and have got used to not changing gears anymore which kind of leaves my left hand with nothing to do!!

How do you occupy yours ????

When driving my missus SLK, I change up down with the auto shifter and up with the wheel... no idea why I just tried it and have got used to it.

It's great isn't it? My hand rests on the drive controller when chilling, or on the wheel when rallying.

My problem with the auto box is when I get into a manual- I've been driving manuals for years but now sometimes get caught out and stall at junctions or chug chug into a parking space in a high gear. Getting too lazy and comfy in this marvellous auto!

That's enough from you Nicky Clarke

.....there is another advantage of having the left hand free, also means you can keep said sheep sitting in the passenger seat should one decide to get a takeaway
