Shop for JB4 and DPs/Exhaust on Eastside?
Toying around with buying a JB4 and either DPs or exhaust. Any shop recommendations on the eastside?

Search "East Coast" and there is a thread where I asked same question. I don't know how to link to it.

I have no idea! I just want something louder and/or more refined than what I have right now (stock with valves held open).

Well the JB4 won't make it louder but the Stage 1 will surely give you ~40rwhp and stage2 a bit more.
the Exhaust will make noise but unless you do something like the akra evo exhaust (aka something without cats) you generally will get between -7 and +7 HP from an exhaust. The ER, AR, Akra DPs should all give you about the same HP which is 10-25rwhp depending on how strong your car is, fuel, and what other mods you have. (note that is based on if you already have a JB4) stock ecu, no idea how much HP but all of those I mentioned will most likely give you a check engine light as they don't have cats. DPs with cats should give you more than stock but not as much as without. Many people like DPs and stock exhaust. If you are really truly going with DPs, maybe try them first and then decide on exhaust later. Note, that the exhaust has to be taken off to do DPs so it might also be a good idea to do both at the same time. Pick what you want, order it, and have carb conn (or whoever else you like) do it. Nice thing about carb conn is you can put the car on the dyno there. I may go to RTC Exotics this hot Saturday and can hear mine if you are there when I get there or leave. |

Oh, the JB4 is just for fun of course, no expected sound changes there. Just figured I'd get them done at the same time if it was something I wasnt doing myself. CarbConn do your exhaust and JB4?

They can do anything exhaust/jb4. etc. I had installed the JB4 for stage1/2 but I also wanted the EWG wires in place and I ran out of time. The plugged all that in, re-torqued the strut bar bolts and I was in line for a dyno run. I don't have a lift so for things like exhaust they need to do it.
