Unless you have a family member or a very close friend that is an attorney, any free legal advice you get will be pretty general 99% of the time...a good amount of time goes into researching even a fairly straightforward legal question.

If your question is "here is my situation...blah blah blah....do I need an attorney?" Assume the answer is "yes."

As far as actual legal advice goes, here is mine: SETTLE. The speed at which legal fees can add up once your litigation is focused on going to trial/hearing will boggle your mind. I work in the field (I AM NOT AN ATTORNEY) and was still astounded at how much my family member just spent to settle a contract dispute that never got close to a hearing. Find a local attorney that practices and has received some legit awards/honors in the area of focus you need; if you owe money, figure out a realistic number you can live with actually paying and tell them up front what you can afford to pay them to represent you and get you to that number. If they won't do it, they may recommend you someone who will.
