Will this code reader pull bmw specific codes? Amazon...

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00U2E...ords=bmw+code#

I need to know as the chevy dealer cannot pull the 2e81 and 2e82 water pump codes with the snap on code puller they have. My warranty needs more evidence that its the water pump shot... Shocker sigh. All bmw dealers within 50 miles are booked a freaking month out so I really need a cheap quick scanner that will pull these codes so they can see for themselfs.

By the looks of the comments it is easy to use, no need to cross reference codes with what the codes mean, and pays for itself on the first use.

Yea i bought it seems like a good investment sure beats pulling the codes via JB4 dash interface lol but at least it works.

You could have bought a jb4 usb cable for less and read codes and logged and other good stuff like that.

Or a dcan cable and been able to code too

Have both haha but the Dcan cable is junk and the dealership that the car is in at needs the specific bmw codes for the water pump in order for the warranty to cover it. So jb4 is def a no go haha. Sucks the dealership that has it is a GM dealership and only has a snap on code reader so it cant pull the 2e81 and 2e82 codes that I know are in the car via JB4 dash interface that is currently out of the car.

I just ordered one for a Father's Day gift from bavuato.com for about $150 including shipping. Works on many models of cars.

I tried out the cheap-o bluetooth thing on both Android and iOS and could never get it working right, so YMMV.

Does it pull ALL BMW codes, like water pump codes, etc.? I have one with the app but I'm not 100% if it'll pull all codes. Most come up as unknown and I haven't really looked into them. I think it does, but I don't have a Bavtech to double check.

should pull all codes as long as you have the right adapter. I tried with one of the cheaper bluetooth adapters and couldnt get all the codes. with the BMWhat adapter, I can get all the codes.

Yeah, I have the official Carly adapter (http://www.amazon.com/Original-Carly...ords=carly+bmw)

I just read the codes after I cleared them all a few days ago to see if I'm getting any faults and I got 5 TPMS related codes, makes sense because I don't have TPMS in my summer setup.

BUT, I actually got a half engine light on the way home from work today which has happened once before (when the car was stock at least) when it was hot like it was today but it didn't pull any codes for that, which surprised me. I was expecting to see some codes from that but there weren't any. The car runs perfect, no misfires or anything (needs walnut blast though) so I don't understand why I wouldn't get a code for that?

Get a a good K+DCAN cable and a working copy of INPA so you can read codes from all of the modules. I'm not sure if BMWhat or the scanners can do this. Anyone know?

BMWhat checks a shit ton of modules. I'd say anything worth checking, it checks.
