Foot-activated power tailgate for M-sport?

Hey guys,

Do you know whether 335 GT with M-sport has the foot-activated power tailgate feature? I got a 2014 model and it never works.

Best,
J

I believe you need comfort access for that feature.

Mine does have comfort access, but never worked. I know the m sport version for x3 doesn't have it but regular one does.

I got it. Comfort access with m-sport. Power tailgate is standard, but comfort access is an option.

When i learned how to do it, it workshop perfect
Slow kick under the midle part of the bumber.
(It will only work if the car is locked)

My 328 m-sport has it. At first it didn't work very well, no matter how I moved my foot. Then, I took my car to the dealer and complained. They updated the software and it works each and every time now.

I find that if I aim for the left side of the (US) license plate, it works every time, locked or not.

Mine used to work during the first three kicks. Now it takes 8-10, if at all. Lately I have resorted to the key fob. Maddening and disappointing.

I wonder if I can bring it to a dealership and let them fix it since it's still under warranty.

Don't stand so close. Try roughly full arm length away center of the car.

If you get down and look you'll see the sensor. I thought mine was broken or 10% working as well, but now its pretty good. If you stand too close it won't open all the time.

I have never had any issues with mine. I will say there is a few seconds delay before the trunk starts to open. This may be where some think they have to give it a few kicks.
