M4 Fresh Off the Boat Build // Constant Updates as Build Goes On // TAG Motorsports

By now a lot of you have seen some of the builds that have rolled out of TAG Motorsports. Our usual posts consist of a bundle of photos that come after the car is finished and we do the final shoot. We usually include some build and product photos but we wanted to try something a little different this time. For this thread we will be providing photos of what is going on right now on this particular build. We received the Black M4 yesterday evening and got started on it just before lunch today. This thread will document the build as it happens over the next week leading up to the delivery date.

While we finish other projects here at the shop, we thought we'd get kicking on some of the aesthetic pieces of this car. We removed the side reflectors and the chrome M4 markers.

We sent them to our paint booth and got them body matched and ready for when the time comes to install.

Next was starting the laborious process of installing the new red seat belts. Luckily our Technician Ryan is nimble enough to squeeze in the back seat to work on them. The red looks great against the black interior, and will match the trim pieces we'll be painting as well.

This M4 is getting quite a few mods including suspension, wheels, and more painted parts. Stay tuned for more photos as the build progresses, and please let us know if you have any questions.

Exactly what I would spec and first mod would be red seat belts.

Looks great!

Red seat belt in all black car was a great choice. Adds a great little accent and sportiness. Build threads are more fun to follow than just seeing final results.

We had a set in our M4 and loved them. Great way to pull a caliper accent color into the interior.

Ok folks, we're back at it on the Fresh off the Boat M4. We have since installed the side markers and sent the calipers for paint.

This customer decided to purchase the Vossen Precision Series wheels that were previously on our shop M4, Black Betty. We were always a little disappointed we never got to see those wheels with our previous red calipers. We knew with the center caps being red, it would be an awesome combo. Well we were right. As you can see the go together quite well.

Stay tuned for more updates!

This morning we've been finishing up the suspension. The customer opted for H&R Lowering Springs. You can see the slight difference in the rear springs.

Here are the fronts

Now the rears going in

Car gets set down to check ride height. CHECK!

And then up on the alignment rack.

Next up is exhaust. Stay tuned!

So the Fresh off the Boat M4 has been completed and it turned out great! Unfortunately with everything we have going on at the shop I was not able to keep this thread as up to date as I wanted. I do still have the content for the build and will post the rest of it shortly. Below are some photos of the OEM exhaust being taken out, and the AWE exhaust that will be replacing it. Stay tuned for the final photo shoot set that I will post this afternoon.

Well folks here is the final result. After a couple solid days of work we have for you a well modded, and beautiful M4. With the Vossen wheels and red calipers peeking out from behind, the combo looks stellar on a black car. The new AWE Resonated Switchpath Exhaust gives this car a killer growl and never gets too loud. The suspension is agressive but very drivable with no rubbing issues. Finally the interior trim gives the inside a little splash of color to tie it all together.

Here is the final mod list for the Car
-20" Vossen VPS308 Wheels in Brushed Satin Clear Finish
-255/30/20 & 285/30/20 Pirelli PZero Tires
-H&R Sport Springs
-AWE Tuning Resonated Switchpath Exhaust System with 90mm Diamond Black Tips
-TAG Motorsports Red Seatbelt Package (Front + Rear)
-TAG Motorsports Rosso Mars Painted Calipers
-TAG Motorsports Rosso Mars Painted Interior Shift Surround & Steering Wheel Trim
-BMW Performance Front Grills
-BMW Performance Mirror Covers
-BMW Performance Rear Trunk Spoiler

What do you guys think? If you have any questions at all regarding any of the parts you see,
please feel free to contact us by clicking HERE or Call us at 866-793-5490.
