BILSTEIN 14 vs Stock ride height PICS

Took some really bad photos with my phone to compare my friend's stock 2014 F30 335 xdrive to mine.

Great comparision shots!

Lowering really improves the overall look, especially for xDrive cars.

Enough with the questions! Everyone that has them has told you how they are. Reach in the pocket and call MIKE!

Yes that good if it includes alignment. For coils labor is $400. I am sure you can find cheaper but I personally would only take my car to a reputable shop with experience working on BMWs.

TBH I would say it is quite rough for a daily driver...but the wife didn't even notice and I actually enjoy it.

It is a world, I mean a world of difference after 130mph. I have one particular strip of autobahn where I hit 130 right at a shallow left turn and it was uncomfortable to go 130-155 in that spot. The first day after I put them on I didnt notice it, and one part of my drive I erronously THOUGHT my fuel pump/transmission went out, but in reality I had just hit 155mph and didnt notice because the car was much more glued.

I wouldn't pay anyone more than 3hrs. It took me just under 4hrs and this was my first time ever doing this.

I have been told you ALWAYS need an alignment after changing suspension. I did, but I had an alignment done before (for free from dealer for some sillyness) and the alignment after the install came up green on all but one wheel (which was actually bad before the install).

I disagree with TBOOOE, I am about to pay 450 Euro for complete turbo install which is WAY OVER my head so paying the same for coilovers which is almost a 1/3rd of the time is overpriced, even if it includes alignment.

Understand you pay for what you get, and I don't know your going hourly rate in your area.

Man, I dont know if I would ever have the opportunity to take my car over 100mph let alone 130mph!

Hmmm...so the B14 rides rough but feels great at 130mph. Not sure if that is ideal for a person who rarely drives past 90mph!

It is all about personal opinion in this matter. With nice roads at any speed it is a better product but understand that it is a $900-1000 part, it may be progressive but if you are looking to keep your comfy daily driver comfy but still take turns at high speeds you may need to raise that. If you are only interested in lowering there are other springs out there.

I got it because I noticed I was driving a bit out of the stock springs capabilities when I tracked the car and definitely any time going over 130.

Ultimately the car will be lowered, and it is more controllable.

OH and I have huge speed bumps in my area, I only barely touched my exhaust once when I had not evened the springs out all the way around (back was almost 1.5" lower than front). At this height I have no problem going over the speed bumps at normal cruising speeds, the speed of traffic.

You will be fine..........
You live in CA. Roads are great compare to many. If you ditch the RF it will definitely be softer

I agree with jj that you will be fine. I'd say sometimes when I am tired I just want too drive in and not get jolted here and there, when I am awake I love taking the farm roads apex to apex or round abouts when traffic seems to be non-stop - basically how a BMW SHOULD drive.

How much did the body roll reduce? Is there still too much or is it fine with the B14 ?
Thanks
