Can this be repaired?
My car was scratched last night. Not sure how. The scratch went through clear protectant and paint. Will they have to spray the whole bumper?

What colour is it? White. If so its a bitch to paint as when the clear coat goes over it darkens the area if only blowing it in. So would say the whole bumper will need painting.
The woes of white...... aswell as it being a boring colour......... lol |

Might be able to have the paint blended but might be noticeable up close. Post on your area subsection for recommendations for a good body shop in your area

I used to paint cars in my last life. That section will be sanded down, re-primed, and the whole bumper needs to be prepped and repainted. There's no way around it as it's a metallic/pearl paint.
Make sure to ask around your local car guys to see where the "best" place to paint your bumper. Metallic and pearl paint are very tricky. Not only you have to mix precisely, the application angle/distance and air pressure have to be correct to make sure the flakes sit correctly. Just a variation in air pressure will make it look darker or lighter compared to the rest of the car.
