Somebody come save my BMW from me ...
I was in a hurry. I needed a wash. I pulled up to the drive through and asked the guy if it could damage my wheels ... I've never taken it through a drive-thru.
Now they say they're not responsible. FML. |

Ouch. I was scared when I took my car through a drive-thru car wash. It was the only option I could find when dropping my car off in Amsterdam and luckily it went through without any issue. The drive-thru was different than gas station type car washes though as the car had to be in neutral and it rolled you forward. I paid more attention to my steering during those five minutes than I did driving the Nürburgring.
Anyway, look for a mobile repair guy that can fix that up on a Saturday morning for maybe $100... at least around here, that's completely possible.

I've driven my car through these type of drive through car washes that roll your car through with rollers all winter long here in Indy and, like the above poster, I make darn sure my wheels are straight and I do not let the steering wheel move as it is washing.

The car wash entrance is at a steep 90 degree turn. And there's no way to get out after you've driven through the pay gate. There was an attendant standing there as I pulled around and I said, "is this going to damage my wheels?" He said "nah man" - and immediately as I pulled in I heard it rubbing. I was fucking furious. And now the manager is acting like 1) theyre after market wheels (bullshit) and 2) they were already damaged.

That stinks. I use the drive through because theres no other good options up here during winter, but the wash I use has big plastic rollers over the bars that align the wheels so I've never had issues.
I made the mistake of driving my Corvette through one once (which was lowered and had literally 1.5" of ground clearance to the front air dam) and wound up getting it stuck on the tracks. They had to have 5 guys push it out.
