I emailed about it and it seems legit so far. The owner apparently is no longer in the states. I find it a little strange because I'm told the car is in Texas but the car is listed in LA craigslist.

Craigslist is full of scumbags and email is worthless. If the car isn't local and the owner doesn't answer the phone don't waste your time.

Good point. The owner could probably drive straight to carmax and get more than 32k

Being that the buyout on my 2015 is about 32 grand with 30k or less miles on the clock in October of 2017, I'd say there is something majorly wrong here.

I just cracked 5k on my car and I'd like to think it is worth a lot more than 32 grand.

Just a rough estimate... but this looks like a car with an MSRP of ~$55K. $32.7K makes no sense at all.

Its a scam. You could easily get CarMax to pay you closer to 40k for the car, so there is no way in hell anyone would sell it for 32k. Plus the fact that the supposed owner and car are not in the same place has all the workings of a craigslist scam.

The old adage works, if it is too good to be true, it probably isn't true....

Except in one case, back in 2005 lady was selling her husbands 2000 Dinan supercharged M roadster for I think 15k. Car had 22k miles on it, and posting went up Wednesday morning, I called her by 2pm I think and she sold the car already... I was angry at my slow reaction time

Guy will probably tell you to bring 32K in cash. You show up and get a gun in your face and out 32K.....or it was in a major accident. Or maybe they a fleeing the country.

There is no car. The car is just one many alluring items that the scammer found. Notice it's fancy big brakes and other upgrades? My bet is that's someone's car on one of these forums.

If you email the person they'll tell you how they've been deployed to Iraq and the car is with their uncle in a place you can't get to. (If you live in Texas they will tell you the car is in Alberta Canada, as per the palm trees in the background). But you can send them payment and they will arrange for shipping at no additional expense.

You're going to have to send the payment via Western Union though, and it'll be an address in Nigeria where their other uncle is staying temporarily.
