It always bothered me that I had to take a black color trim across the instrument panel, as the only colors available at the plant were red or blue. So, I found 3M Fiery Orange vinyl and spent some time with my Xacto knife. If you want to try this with whatever color you choose, be sure to buy extra material. Your first try won't be the final one! (Please pardon the dirty floor mats....wash day is tomorrow!)

dumb question - do ppl put additional floor mats on top of the velcro carpetey mats the car comes with?

Glad you guys like the results. It was my first time working with vinyl and there was some waste while getting the feel of the material.

Early childhood training when my room was messy, I guess. Usually, they are cleaner.

metrorestyling.com for the film. I started with a few small/cheap samples of colors which looked close online, and found the right one to then order in a somewhat larger quantity.

I removed the carpet mats before putting in the Modern Line BMW rubber floor mats (in order to get the matching tan outline instead of Sportline red). Carpet will go back in and rubber comes out for Spring through Fall. You don't want to have mats piled up which could result in them moving around. Read up on unintended acceleration in Toyotas to see what floor mats can do.
