Not certain about waxing but my installer told me 2 weeks of not washing it to ensure adhesion.

I think the time can vary highly. My installer told me 2-3 days for washing, but no coating for about 3-4 weeks to let 'it cure'. But then there are those detail shops that do a clear bra, then opti-coat it all in one session. I think they use heat to cure it faster but still... I did a waterless wash while I waited a month to do a proper wash and put a coating over it. So far, so good

It was pouring rain when I picked mine up from having a partial Xpel done. I washed it the next day. Then about ten days later ran Hyper polish over the car and put on Optimum Gloss Coat. No problems.

I was told 2-3 days also. Installer said to park it in the sun for a few hours a day for those three days to help with the curing.

Would you need to use a special wax for the parts that are wrapped? I will be dropping my car off for XPEL Ultimate in a couple weeks and wasnt to sure of the maintenance which comes with EXPEL

I replied on my phone, but don't see it so I will try again.
Expel's site says to polish as usual - treat it like paint after a week or so. I called Optimum and they said Clear Bra companies like the Gloss Coat. So after a week or two I used Ferrex (not much iron came off - mostly out of one wheel), washed it good, clay, then went at it with Optimum Hyper Polish. That stuff is fantastic. I switched from Griots polish and am very happy. Then wiped with distilled water before applying Optimum Gloss Coat. When I wash it, I use their Optimum No Rinse, though I rinse. The GC really keeps it cleaner longer and then washes super easy. I'm sold on this stuff. Here is a link to a "Paint Correction" thread on the F10 M5 board that has lots of tips. http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/f10...ion-video.html
