2011 E90 TPM fault
Can anyone point me in the direction as to what are common issues? OEM wheels and sensors. As soon as I turn the car on I receive TPM fault message that it is inactive. In iDrive it will not even let me reset the sensors. Also this is now causing major electrical fault causing gauges and everything else electric to go crazy. From my reading i understand that there is a main module and recivers in every wheel well? Thanks in advance

Have you had the tires replaced recently? There's a tpms sensor in each wheel. There's a device that most tire shops have that can test which one has failed.

No these tires are not new and one bad sensor inside a wheel would not cause major electrical issues, gotta be something in the car

Start with testing your battery. That can be the cause of a lot of electrical oddities. If it's bad, replace it, then report back if it's still not working. If the battery is good, then it's time to delve further

It's probably the sensor in the rim... These sensors have a battery that will over time die.
Go to a tire shop, they can scan which sensor is dead without having to remove the rim (make sure you call first, not all tire shops have this piece of equipment). You'll have to buy a new sensor, have them remove the tire and replace the sensor.

On 2011 cars it is on the right side of the trunk, behind the trim, near the battery...at least on my 328 that's where it is.
