Need someone to code my car, South Michigan
Don't trust myself to do it.
A bit frustrated at the moment that my new ride is so digitally challenged (while touting that it is advanced) that it can't remember my previous settings (steering wheel heater, seat heater, driving mode). Currently when I get in the car in the morning and start her up I have to: Confirm both the Disclaimer and the TPMS warning, set the driving mode to sport, turn on the seat heater, the wheel heater. Not trying to be a priss, it's just annoying and I'd like to know if there are any fixes. My 2005 GTI had analog controls so everything was right where you left it from the previous drive. A) I would like the amber corner lights up front coded off. Straightforward. B) Would like TPMS and Disclaimer disabled. Straightforward. C) Want the car to default to Sport mode at start up. Possible? D) Can the car be made to remember previous heater settings? Some more constructive criticism of the current UI: Why, when in I'm on fuel reserve, does that warning permanently block out the rest of the display on the instrument cluster? Either intermittently flash it or move it to the central display.
