I just finished putting b8's + H&R sports on my 335 xdrive. Pretty firm. I didn't cut the rear bump stops but I am wondering if I should have. I like it but backseat passengers might not lol

Then why not just buy a real sports car? The 3 series is a semi-luxury four door sedan fer chrissakes. Why make it less functional for that role?

Uh ok? 3 series is an entry level luxury sport sedan, especially 335. Have you driven one with xDrive? It's bordeline unbearable. I meant to post in the bilstein xDrive thread anyhow. My mistake.

I'd never buy an xDrive. Jeep and Audi make cars with up to three limited slip differentials: front axles, rear axles, and one in the middle that apportions torque between front and rear. Even Subarus have more sophisticated systems than BMW which doesn't even offer LSD at all except for the M series.

BMW thinks it can get away with lame power and brake retardation electronics for traction control and a fixed 70-30 torque split between the front and rear axles.

Do Audis have limited slips in the front?

Either way, I would not buy an xDrive in it's current form either. If I needed the AWD capability without performance compromises, the Audi S4 would be the car I would get.

I've had a friend with a 328 xDrive that had the servo motor go out on the transfer case which turned his AWD car into a much heavier RWD car. For cars in this price range, I think a simple mechanical AWD system like a Torsen in the center and a Torsen or torque vectoring rear differential is a better bet.
