I just finished putting b8's + H&R sports on my 335 xdrive. Pretty firm. I didn't cut the rear bump stops but I am wondering if I should have. I like it but backseat passengers might not lol

Then why not just buy a real sports car? The 3 series is a semi-luxury four door sedan fer chrissakes. Why make it less functional for that role?

Uh ok? 3 series is an entry level luxury sport sedan, especially 335. Have you driven one with xDrive? It's bordeline unbearable. I meant to post in the bilstein xDrive thread anyhow. My mistake.

BMW thinks it can get away with lame power and brake retardation electronics for traction control and a fixed 70-30 torque split between the front and rear axles. |

Either way, I would not buy an xDrive in it's current form either. If I needed the AWD capability without performance compromises, the Audi S4 would be the car I would get. I've had a friend with a 328 xDrive that had the servo motor go out on the transfer case which turned his AWD car into a much heavier RWD car. For cars in this price range, I think a simple mechanical AWD system like a Torsen in the center and a Torsen or torque vectoring rear differential is a better bet. |
