Best hand car wash is back!

If anyone has been here you know that there is no place that took better care of your car then Village Auto Wash. They literally would wash your car like if it was their own. By the time your car gets pulled out of the garage you will have 1 or 2 guys walking around it like 5 times to make sure everything is perfect. They had a sign up that they closed last year for good...but I just got an email that they're back. Hopefully they're back with the same OCDness as before.

Sorry dude I am going to have to disagree. This place is junk. I got my car washed here 3 times because I wanted to at least give them a fair shot and each time it was sub par. Lots of spots missing and water marks. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

If you want a real place to get your car taken care of there is Phil over at detailers domain. That place is the real deal. There is another place in Hackensack called Freddys.

I'm speechless. I only know a few people that have gone here but everyone agrees this is the best place. My only complaint is the wait but its because they make sure ur car is spotless. I'll have to try ur other suggestions, but i live in ridgewood so this will prob remain my spot.

Yea man, I hate to say but this place is just as poor as every other shop. I took my M here about 2 weeks ago because it was way too cold for me to wash myself. I usually NEVER let anyone else wash it, but when it's 20 degrees in March I really have no choice.

So I pulled my car in, and the manager would not let me pull it into the bay after explaining to him that many people have a hard time with the transmission (DCT). It took them about 15 minutes to pull the car in because they didn't know what they were doing. Revving the crap out of my car and insisting he knew what the hell he was doing. When they eventually pulled the car in, I waited inside the bay area to watch them wash my car. First of all, they used real dirty mitts which made me cringe, even after requesting that they use a new bucket of water and mitts.
But it gets worse. As they are cleaning the car, one of the guys drops the mitt right o the extremely filthy floor, and proceeds to pick it up and throw it right back onto the paint. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. This car wash is a big of a joke as all the others. They're all swirl mark central. Call me crazy, but this is not the right way to clean the car. Not to mention the shotty drying job and the horrible interior cleaning. I'll never return that's for sure. Ill stick to my own washes.

Clearly I'm going to have to try a different place now. I'm pretty disappointed since this place is so close. I have never experienced anything like what you guys are referring to but i just found them last summer and only used them a handful of times. They blee away the place in HoHoKus so i was thrilled. Phil's is a pain to get to from ridgewood. Any other suggestions that are closer? My M3 arrives this week so my OCD will be at all time highs.

I know Phil is a pain to get to but it's 100% worth it. I am coming from Maywood and take the trip regardless.

I'm gonna meet Phil tomorrow with any luck I'm going to be potentially doing XPel plus a full car coating next week. I've heard great things about his place, and its not really that inconvenient for me coming from Nyack NY.

Nearly all of these places suck. Its nearly all $7.25/hr workers who could give two shits about swirls or quality of work.
